Safety Guidelines

Please don't be naive. This site is open to the public, and we have no way to know whether the people who've signed up are really Christians. Be smart... follow the recommended safety guidelines.

Transportation and Meeting Places
When meeting people you do not know yet, the meeting place you set should be in a high traffic, public area. (For example, a restaurant in a mall, the doorway of a busy department store, etc.) You should also provide your own transportation to and from the meeting place. This guideline is for your safety. It's only common sense that you should never agree to meet a stranger anywhere but a high traffic public area, and you should never agree to ride in a car with a stranger. Remember that internet contact alone cannot tell you if this person is a genuine Christian, or someone intending on harming you.

At Least Three on a Team
We strongly urge you to not go on an evangelistic team outing with only one person of the opposite sex. (Unless you are married to that person.) We recommend that teams that have both men and women on them should always consist of at least three people. This guideline is not only for safety, but also to avoid every appearance of evil.

Internet Security
You may freely share your email address and your cell phone number in your listing. However we do not permit the sharing of your home address or home telephone number. When you share your home address, you are giving anyone with access to the internet your exact location. You may think it's safe to share your home phone number, but it can easily be used in various computer programs to pinpoint your home address. Please don't share sensitive personal information like this in your listing, or in emails to strangers.
